If the actual number of guests (including children) upon check-in exceeds the number stated in the booking confirmation, an additional charge may apply according to the resort’s policy.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all guest rooms. In case of violation, a cleaning or penalty fee will be charged in accordance with the resort’s current regulations.
Tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, vaping liquids, and smokeless tobacco, are only permitted in designated smoking areas.
For your comfort, outdoor smoking areas are available within the resort. Please contact our staff for assistance.
Personal Belongings
Guests are advised to lock their doors and safeguard personal belongings at all times. The resort is not responsible for any loss or damage to valuables or personal items left in guest rooms.
Resort Facilities
Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to resort property or facilities. Penalty fees will be applied in accordance with the resort’s regulations.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the resort.
Privacy and Noise
Drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and any sound equipment causing noise or disturbance to other guests are strictly prohibited.
Safety Regulations
Cooking, bringing cooking equipment, or strong-smelling food into guest rooms is not allowed. A penalty fee will apply in case of violation.
Fireworks, flammable materials, explosives, narcotics, or other prohibited substances are strictly forbidden within the resort premises.
Guests are kindly requested not to climb, swim, or wade in the rocky areas around the island to ensure safety and protect the natural ecosystem. Any violations may be subject to penalties in accordance with Whale Island Resort’s regulations.
Whale Island Resort bears no responsibility for any accidents or injuries resulting from failure to comply with these safety regulations.
Child Safety
As the resort is located on an island with natural terrain including hills, rocky areas, and coastal zones, parents or guardians are kindly requested to supervise children under 16 years old at all times during their stay.
Parking
Guests may travel by private car and park at Bac Van Phong Port (Dam Mon Village). Entrance and parking fees are applied in accordance with the port’s regulations. Guests will then be transferred to Hon Ong Island by the resort’s boat from the port.
Sustainability and Environment
Whale Island Resort is surrounded by lush forest, pristine beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Please note that the resort cannot be held responsible for any incidents or risks arising from guests’ failure to follow safety instructions provided by Whale Island Resort. Our mission is to create a sustainable environment for our guests, staff, and the local community. The use of single-use plastics or any behavior that negatively impacts the environment is strictly prohibited within the resort premises.
Check-in after 14:00 and check-out before 12:00 noon. Any extension of stay must be notified in advance to the Receptionist.

All visitor information must be provided to the Front Desk staff, including: number of visitors, full names, time of arrival, and time of departure.
Visitors are required to leave their ID card or identification document at the Front Desk.
Visitors are only allowed to access public areas and are not permitted to enter guest rooms.
Guests are requested to receive their visitors at the Front Desk lobby.
Visitors may stay for a maximum of 2 hours free of charge. Any stay beyond 2 hours will incur a fee according to the resort’s current policy. All applicable charges will be added to the guest’s room bill.
Visitors must leave the resort before 17:00.
Third-party entities such as professional photographers, beauty specialists, entertainers, or similar organizations are not allowed to enter, conduct photography, or perform any activities at the resort without prior formal approval and agreement from Whale Island Resort.
Terms of Booking & Deposit
By booking with us (the owner / owner’s representative), you (the main guest) and your booking partner(s) (guests) agree to the terms and conditions below. During your stay, you agree to comply with the conditions as outlined. If you have any questions about booking, please contact us before making your reservation.
Booking Process
To book at Whale Island Resort, the main guest must be at least 18 years old. The maximum number of guests per room is specified in the Room Policy or on the Whale Island Resort website. If the person making the booking is different from the main guest, the booker may be responsible for cancellations, no-shows, and any damages as stipulated by Whale Island Resort. Only the main guest and named bookers are permitted to use the property and resort facilities; any third-party guests may only access the property with explicit permission.
Payment can be made online or via bank transfer. The main guest will be responsible for reimbursing our bank for any fees incurred to process declined credit cards or transfers within seven (7) days of request.
Guests of Whale Island Resort agree to respect the privacy and quiet of other guests. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation immediately if guests fail to comply with this agreement or disturb other guests.
Cancellation & Refund Conditions
Guests wishing to cancel their booking should contact us as soon as possible, depending on their specific cancellation policy. Guests are advised to purchase appropriate cancellation/travel insurance if required.
Specifically, our cancellation policy is as follows:
- Cancellation more than 20 days before arrival: No charge
- Cancellation from 19 to 10 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking cost
- Cancellation from 09 to 04 days before arrival: 70% of the total booking cost
- Cancellation within 03 days of arrival or no-show: 100% of the total booking cost
In the rare event that we must cancel your booking, please note that we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control; our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payments already made.
