FAQ – Whale Island Resort

We offer gentle sea-based activities such as kayaking and snorkeling, which are suitable for families with young children. These activities stimulate curiosity and exploration, allowing children to stay active while learning about the vast ocean world.

To ensure food safety and hygiene, Whale Island Resort only serves dishes available on the restaurant menu and does not allow outside food to be brought into the resort.

We serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Additionally, to offer a flexible and refined culinary experience, some non-vegetarian dishes can be adapted to vegetarian options upon request.

We strive to meet the diverse culinary needs of our guests. Please inform our staff of any special dietary requirements before your arrival so that Whale Island Resort can provide the best possible service.

Each bungalow is stocked with bottled mineral water in glass bottles and herbal tea for guests to enjoy.

Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast with a diverse selection prepared by Whale Island Resort.

We offer a variety of Asian and Western dishes, pastries, as well as local specialties from Central Vietnam. The menu is regularly refreshed to provide a wide range of choices.

Room rates at Whale Island Resort include daily breakfast and boat transfers.

Typically, when occupancy is sufficient, breakfast is served as a buffet. In cases of lower occupancy, the resort will offer a daily set menu with varied selections.

Regardless of the format, portion sizes and quality are carefully maintained to ensure an experience equivalent to a buffet, providing guests with a comfortable and satisfying start to the day.

To ensure a smooth journey and minimize potential traffic disruptions, Whale Island Resort provides pick-up and drop-off services only at designated locations within Nha Trang City.

Pick-up point in Nha Trang:
• Rainbow Dive – 132 Nguyen Thien Thuat, Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang)

Depending on your arrival point, you may choose one of the following options:

a/ From Cam Ranh International Airport / Tuy Hoa Airport to Bac Van Phong Port
You may arrange a private transfer service provided by Whale Island Resort from the airport to Bac Van Phong Port (surcharge applies).

Note: Shuttle service is available for a minimum of 2 guests.

b/ From Bac Van Phong Port to Whale Island Resort

Boat transfer schedule between Bac Van Phong Port and Whale Island Resort:

• Departure (Port → Resort):
Morning: 07:00 | 09:00 | 11:00
Afternoon: 13:30 | 15:30 | 17:30

• Return (Resort → Port):
Morning: 06:00 | 08:00 | 10:00 | 12:00
Afternoon: 14:00 | 16:00

• Travel time: approximately 15 minutes each way

• Stop 1: Easternmost Point of Vietnam – 15 km

You can easily drive to Whale Island Resort by private car.

• From Khánh Hòa (Nha Trang city center), simply follow Google Maps directions to Bac Van Phong Port (Dam Mon Village).

• The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. As the resort is located on an island, a boat transfer from the port to the island is required, which takes around 15 minutes.

If you drive, you will arrive at Bắc Vân Phong Port, which has a parking area for guests of Whale Island Resort.

At the port, please pay directly for the following fees:

• Entrance fee: 20,000 VND per person
• Vehicle entrance fee
• Overnight parking fee at the port

After payment, the resort’s boat will take you from the port to the island according to the scheduled timetable.

If you and your family are looking for an activity that combines relaxation with ocean exploration, snorkeling at Whale Island Resort is an ideal choice. Located in the crystal-clear waters of Van Phong Bay, the area surrounding the island is home to a rich marine ecosystem with vibrant natural coral reefs.

Snorkeling
Guests will travel by boat for approximately 40 minutes to reach shallow waters. Here, simply floating on the surface allows you to easily observe coral reefs and tropical fish at depths of under 6 meters – suitable for families and beginners alike.

Scuba Diving
For those seeking a deeper exploration, the boat will take you to more distant dive sites (approximately 50 minutes away). Guests can dive to depths of up to 12 meters, accompanied by professional instructors, unveiling a vivid and fascinating underwater world.

We offer on-site activities such as herbal massage, recycling workshops, and glass bottle painting. Please contact the resort staff or customer service for more information.

In line with our commitment to sustainable tourism and our desire to create a space where guests can connect, interact, and fully immerse themselves in nature, Wi-Fi is not available in guest rooms.

However, complimentary Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas, including the reception, restaurant, and beachfront bar.

Due to its location on a secluded island in Van Phong Bay, mobile network coverage may be limited and occasionally interrupted.

For providers such as Mobifone and Vinaphone, the signal can be weak and unstable depending on the area. Viettel generally offers more stable coverage; however, 4G connectivity may still be intermittent.
