Whale Island Resort
The tale of Whale Island Resort began in 1997 with a noble mission to facilitate the connection between nature and humanity while preserving the pristine and untouched ecosystem on the island. The founders of this resort recognized the need for preserving the natural heritage of the island and ensuring that it remains untouched by human intervention. Since its inception, Whale Island Resort has been committed to this mission and has dedicated itself to offering a unique and memorable experience to its guests. From snorkeling and diving to hiking, guests can immerse themselves in the natural wonders of Whale Island.
UNCLE BAY - CHÚ BẢY
A little man with a not-so-little mission. Over the past 5 years, our beloved uncle is the man who takes care of nature on the island, collecting trash and planting trees and flowers. His typical day usually starts at 5 a.m., when he starts tracking waste that might follow the current towards our resort. He’s the man who ensures the beach is clean and the water is clear for all of us!

MR. VANG - ANH VÀNG
He is the ultimate wind master and the one responsible for your water activities at the resort, from kayaking to a ride on our racing sailboat. He works tirelessly to ensure you have quality time with us while staying safe. You can easily spot Mr. Vang at the beach where the palm trees and sunbeds are.
MRS. SANG - EM SANG
No one loves Whale Island more than this lady! She has lived and worked on the island for the past 12 years, and considers it her second home. Although living on the island means she must spend time away from her husband and young son, whom she can only visit occasionally, Sang remains committed to the island. During the pandemic, she was one of only seven people on the island – that’s how much she loves this place!
When asked about her favorite task at work, Sang responded with a bright smile: “I absolutely love helping guests with their luggage when they arrive on the island!”.
Don’t let her appearance fool you – she is incredibly strong!
MR. THANH - ANH THÀNH
Thanh is definitely the one with the most interesting stories in our family. Having lived on the island for over a decade, he has gone through a lot. From the challenges at work to the time he and the team held onto the roof when a tropical storm hit the island, the memories come alive when he shares them with his charming southern Vietnamese accent. You’ll likely find Thanh at the reception or by the bar.
MS. UYEN - EM UYÊN
Among the youngest members of our family, life on a secluded island is certainly not always easy for Uyen. While many of her friends may opt for different opportunities, Uyen has chosen to join our F&B team, where she continues to grow each day, with the goal to enhance her English skills.
MS. THAO - EM THẢO
Meet Thao, the friendly face you’re likely to encounter during breakfast, lunch, and dinner at our resort. Thao has been with us for over 6 years and is an important part of our team. You’ll often find her at the bar, where she enjoys the stunning views over the ocean. In fact, Thao nurtures a special aspiration—to open her very own pressed juice shop back home. We’re proud to have her on our team and we know you’ll enjoy getting to know her during your stay.
MR. MUOI - CHÚ MƯỜI
Originally from Nha Trang, Mr. Muoi joined us in 2021. He is a lovely man and the father of four. His working day starts early in the morning and continues until dusk. He gathers and separates trash, works in the garden, takes care of the little plants, and ensures that they grow well.
Mr. Muoi hopes to inspire others to protect nature on the island and encourage our guests to join us in this mission too!

Our restaurant at Whale Island Resort features an open design that allows for plenty of fresh air. The design is inspired by traditional Vietnamese colors and utilizes traditional materials such as bamboo and thatch.
We believe that our restaurant is not just a place to eat, but also a space to relax and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Our bar was inspired by the image of a boat in the middle of the ocean, offering a direct view of the sea and the natural wind.
